Ishenim is proud to be the first post-Soviet credit bureau within the Commonwealth of Independent States to issue credit reports.

The Bureau opened in March 2003 with the financial support of EuropeAid. In February of the following year it released its first report, containing only negative data. With a view to introducing a scoring system, Ishenim began compiling positive information in November 2004. The initial kolokol dynamic risk assessment™ alert automatically transmitted to members on 16 August 2005.

Foreign technical assistance provided in January through September of 2005 resulted in the "re-branding" of the Bureau as the Credit Information Bureau as "Ishenim"™ (Kyrgyz: trust) and the adoption of Western-style Business and Marketing Plans.

Ishenim plans continued evolution to better meet the needs of its members, and to promote economic stability and solvency through improved risk management in the Kyrgyz lending sector
