"CREDIT INFORMATION SHARING SYSTEM IN KYRGYZSTAN: EXPERIENCE, PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT" INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE RESULTS (BISHKEK 2013, SEPTEMBER 5-7)

September 5-7, 2013, Association of Legal Entities “Association of financial and credit institutions "Credit and Information Bureau "Ishenim" conducted an international conference "Credit information sharing system in Kyrgyzstan: experience, problems and prospects of development".

At the opening ceremony welcoming speeches were given to: Director of CIB "Ishenim" - Elebesova Akzholtoy Dzhekshalievna, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CIB "Ishenim" - Aibalaev Almaz Mamatovich.

Summing up results of the CIB "Ishenim" for 10 years, speakers noted its active participation from the very beginning of its activity in the process of improving the financial and credit system, reaching stability in the banking sector and the financial and credit relations in general, enhancing the availability of credit resources for individuals and legal entities on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the reduction of credit risks and protection of interests of financial institutions and other organizations subject to credit risk in the lending process. According to current trends, the role of credit bureaus has been increasing rapidly in lending, managing credit portfolio risk management, which imposes high responsibility for improving the quality of their services and any other information upon them.

The Conference was attended by first persons of commercial banks and major financial institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, heads of leading and just starting out credit bureaus and international holding companies that have business interests in the activities of a network of credit bureaus around the world, as well as representatives of international donor organizations accredited in our country and companies that provide solutions to credit bureaus and banks.

In the first section of the Conference participants presented their own experience in the development of credit information sharing systems, presented the used cutting-edge technological solutions and its range of services provided.

During the second part of professional activities the most crucial issues affecting basic aspects of activities in the field of credit bureaus were discussed.

In the final part of the Conference, the Board of Directors and executive body of the CIB "Ishenim" held official bilateral meetings with representatives of large holding companies having business interests worldwide in the sphere of credit information sharing. During these meetings a possible direct participation of foreign investors in the activities of the Credit Bureau "Ishenim" were discussed.
